# Fonts: four bundled, and your own with Pro

The free designer offers four bundled fonts: Onest (clean), Lora (classic), Unbounded (wide) and Caveat (handwritten). PrintBlob Pro adds your theme's own fonts and any family in WordPress's Font Library, fonts you upload and Google Fonts installed from it, served from your own site. The designer and the print files use the same font files, so what the customer sees is what prints.

Free, with more in PrintBlob Pro.

## Free or Pro?

- Free: Text typed on the product, in four bundled fonts.
- Pro: Custom fonts and Google Fonts, in the designer and the print files.

## Which fonts come with the free plugin?

Four fonts chosen to cover what customers ask for, each bundled with the plugin and served from your site: **Onest** (clean), **Lora** (classic), **Unbounded** (wide) and **Caveat** (handwritten). Customers pick one in the **Font** menu of a selected text, with **Bold** and an ink colour.

## What does PrintBlob Pro add?

Your brand's fonts, or the ones your customers ask for. PrintBlob Pro reads WordPress's own Font Library, the **Appearance › Fonts** screen that every theme has, block or classic: fonts you upload there and Google Fonts you install from its collection. Your theme's own fonts, from its `theme.json`, are offered too, marked "(your theme)". You choose which go into the designer's font menu, and whether the four bundled fonts stay.

## Who is it for?

Merch shops for a brand or a creator, whose shirts must use the brand's typeface; clubs and schools with a lettering of their own; any shop whose customers ask for a font the four bundled ones do not cover.

## What are the limits?

The designer offers the families you choose with their regular and bold styles where the family has them; it has no italic toggle, letter spacing control or curved text. A font you upload must be licensed for the products you print and sell, for customers setting their own text in it and for use on your website; check its licence before offering it, as Font licences for printed products describes.

## How do I add my own fonts?

1. **Add the fonts to WordPress.** Open Appearance › Fonts, WordPress's Font Library, and upload font files or install them from its Google Fonts collection. A theme's own fonts need no installing.
2. **Choose the fonts customers can use.** With PrintBlob Pro, open WooCommerce › Settings › PrintBlob › Fonts and tick the fonts. Your theme's fonts are listed with (your theme) after their names.
3. **Keep or drop the bundled fonts.** Untick Keep Onest, Unbounded, Lora and Caveat in the font menu too to offer only your fonts.

## Try it in the live demo

**Text typed on the product.** The designer opens with a line of text already typed on the front. There is no text field: customers type on the shirt itself, and choose one of the four bundled fonts, bold and an ink colour.

## Set it up

- [PrintBlob Pro](https://printblob.com/docs/pro/): PrintBlob Pro adds print-ready files of every order (a 300 DPI PNG, a vector PDF and SVG, and a CMYK PDF through your printer's profile) with the customers' original images, your own products and photos, back and sleeve printing, a 3D view, design templates, a clipart library, quantity breaks, names and numbers for team orders, a print queue with ZIP downloads, and your own fonts.
- [Theme integration](https://printblob.com/docs/theme/): The designer takes your theme's colours, fonts and corner radius by itself. To change them, set PrintBlob's CSS custom properties in your theme.
- [Add custom text to WooCommerce products: names, slogans and messages](https://printblob.com/guides/custom-text-woocommerce-products/): Two ways to let customers personalise WooCommerce products with their own text, how to keep custom text readable once it's printed, font licences for merchandise, and how to price it.

## Questions

### Do Google Fonts send my customers' data to Google?

No. WordPress downloads the fonts you install from the Font Library's Google Fonts collection to your site, and they are served from there with no request to Google.

### Does the print file use the same font?

Yes. The designer shows text in the real font files, and the print files are rendered with the same files.

### What happens to a theme's fonts when I change theme?

They are offered while that theme is active. Fonts you uploaded to the Font Library stay whatever the theme.
