Shirts for events and promotions

For an event, a party, a trip or a promotion, PrintBlob lets each customer take the event's design and make it theirs: their name or a line of their own typed on the shirt, the colour they want, a print on the back with PrintBlob Pro. A link can open the designer with a text already typed and a colour chosen. Every order keeps its design, and PrintBlob Pro makes its print files.

Who is this for?

Shops printing for stag and hen parties, family reunions, charity runs, school trips, company days and product launches: short runs of one design that each person tweaks, ordered in a few days before a date.

What matters in PrintBlob?

  • A link that starts the design. The designer page reads ?text= and ?color= from its address: send …/design/?text=Spring%20Run%202027&color=navy and everyone starts from the event’s line on a navy shirt. That is what the Colours block’s links use too.
  • Their own words, typed on the shirt. Each person adds their name or a nickname, in one of the fonts on offer, and sees it at its real size.
  • Front and back (PrintBlob Pro). The event on the front, the names on the back, or a sponsor on a sleeve, each priced as its own side.
  • The 3D view (PrintBlob Pro). People who are not designers see the shirt turned round with both prints on it, which answers most “how will it look?” questions before they order.
  • Emoji (PrintBlob Pro). A quick way to make a party shirt personal without an image of their own.

What are the limits?

Every person orders on their own, or one organiser adds a shirt per person to their cart or, with PrintBlob Pro’s names and numbers, lists everyone’s name and size on one design; there is no group checkout splitting one order between people. Deadlines are yours to state on the product page: PrintBlob does not schedule production.

How do I try it?

Open the front and back demo and the 3D view demo, then try a link with ?text= on your own designer page once the free plugin is installed.

How does an event order go through PrintBlob?

  1. Set up the event's shirt. A product in the colours on offer, with the designer on and a print price for each side you print.
  2. Send people a link. A link to the designer page with ?text= and ?color= opens the designer with that text typed on the front and that colour chosen, for example the event's name in its colour.
  3. Each person makes it theirs. They add their own name, a photo or, with PrintBlob Pro, an emoji or a print on the back, then choose their size.
  4. They check it and order. With PrintBlob Pro they can turn the shirt in the 3D view to see the front and the back together before adding it to the cart.
  5. You print the orders. With PrintBlob Pro, each item's print files are in the order and the print queue, oldest first.

Try it in the live demo

Front and back. The demo has PrintBlob Pro’s back printing: Front and Back above the shirt, each with its own photo, print area and print price. A dot on a side shows it has a print, and the price lists each printed side.

Set it up

  • Colours

PrintBlob gives each term of your colour attribute a colour value and a photo, and one white product photo is recoloured to every colour you sell. The Colours block shows each colour with a link to design it.

  • Products

To sell a product with the designer, open the product's PrintBlob designer tab, turn the designer on, choose its mockup and set a print price for each printed side.

  • 3D preview

With PrintBlob Pro, customers turn the product in 3D in the designer and see their design on the front and the back, made from the mockup's own front and back photos. What it needs, how to turn it off, and how it loads.

  • Add custom text to WooCommerce products: names, slogans and messages

Two ways to let customers personalise WooCommerce products with their own text, how to keep custom text readable once it's printed, font licences for merchandise, and how to price it.

  • Team and group orders with names and numbers in WooCommerce

How print shops take orders where every shirt shares one design but has its own name, number and size: the options WooCommerce gives you, how customers list every person on one design with PrintBlob Pro's names and numbers, how the free plugin takes them one at a time, and how to check each line's print file.

The features that matter here

  • The product designer, with text typed on the productFree

PrintBlob's designer for WooCommerce: customers place photos, logos and text on the product photo, type straight on the product, and add the design to the cart.

  • Every colour from one product photoFree

PrintBlob recolours one white product photo to every colour of your WooCommerce colour attribute, keeping folds and shading, and adds a Colours block.

  • Front, back and sleeve printingFree, with more in PrintBlob Pro

Print on the front with the free plugin; PrintBlob Pro adds the back and the left and right sleeves, each with its own photo, print area, print price and print file.

  • The 3D view of the productPrintBlob Pro

PrintBlob Pro's 3D view: customers turn the garment on its hanger with their design printed on it, built from the mockup's own front and back photos, with no 3D model to make.

  • Emoji in the product designerPrintBlob Pro

PrintBlob Pro adds an Emoji tool to the designer: more than 300 emoji, searchable, printed as vector art so they stay sharp at any size.

Questions

Can I send people a link with the event's text already on the shirt?

Yes. A link to the page with the designer can carry ?text= (up to 60 characters, typed on the front) and ?color= (a colour of the product). The colour is applied once; later choices are the customer's.

Can everyone see the same design before ordering?

Yes. They all start from the same link, and each order keeps the design that person made.
