How does Kickflip’s fee work?

  • Band by band. Each band of a month’s sales is charged at its own rate, so the lower rates only apply to the sales above $100,000. Kickflip’s own example: $252,000 in a month pays $1,950 + $2,625 + $20 = $4,595.
  • On Kickflip products only. In a cart with a standard product and a Kickflip product, only the Kickflip product counts.
  • After discounts, before tax. The fee is on the final discounted price before tax; Kickflip notes that some discount types it does not support leave the fee on the full price.
  • Test orders count on WooCommerce. Kickflip cannot stop the fee on WooCommerce and Wix test orders, as it can on Shopify, and suggests testing with a product priced at $0.
  • Refunds count once processed. Fees are processed daily at 1 am UTC; an order refunded before then pays none, one refunded after pays the fee.

What does Kickflip cost at my sales?

Monthly sales of custom products, after discounts and before tax. Each cell is the plan plus the fee, band by band, then twelve months of it.

Sales a month Fee A month A year
$1,000 1.95% × $1,000 = $19.50 $59 + $19.50 = $78.50 $942
$5,000 1.95% × $5,000 = $97.50 $59 + $97.50 = $156.50 $1,878
$20,000 1.95% × $20,000 = $390 $59 + $390 = $449 $5,388
$150,000 1.95% × $100,000 + 1.75% × $50,000 = $1,950 + $875 = $2,825 $59 + $2,825 = $2,884 $34,608

With the white-label add-on, add $49 a month ($588 a year); with quotes, $99 a month ($1,188 a year). Below $100,000 a month the lower bands never apply: the fee is 1.95% of every sale.

How does that compare with the other hosted services?

Sales a month Kickflip ($59 + 1.95%) Zakeke Starter, billed yearly ($59 + 1.9%) Zakeke Starter, billed monthly ($69.90 + 1.9%)
$1,000 $78.50 $59 + $19 = $78 $69.90 + $19 = $88.90
$5,000 $156.50 $59 + $95 = $154 $69.90 + $95 = $164.90
$20,000 $449 $59 + $380 = $439 $69.90 + $380 = $449.90

Zakeke’s prices were read on its own pricing page on 21 October 2026; its Starter plan publishes up to 10 products, and its Grow (50 products) and Scale (100) plans cost more, as Zakeke pricing works out. Kickflip has no product limit.

Customily charges per personalised item instead of a percentage, so its price depends on what an item sells for: $5,000 a month of $25 items is 200 items, which on Customily is $49 + $150 = $199 a month, and $5,000 of $50 items is 100 items, $49 + $100 = $149 a month. Customily pricing works that out at more volumes. How Kickflip and Zakeke differ on features is in Zakeke vs Kickflip.

How does that compare with a self-hosted plugin?

A self-hosted plugin runs the designer inside your own WooCommerce, on the hosting the shop already pays for, and charges no fee per sale, so its price is the same at every volume.

Option What you pay At $1,000, $5,000 or $20,000 a month
Kickflip $59 a month plus 1.95% of custom product sales $942, $1,878 or $5,388 a year
PrintBlob Free; PrintBlob Pro $69 a year or $99 once (limited-time offer until 31 December 2026) The same at every volume
Lumise $69 a year for updates and support, or $380 once The same at every volume
Fancy Product Designer $99 per licence, one per website The same at every volume

Lumise’s and Fancy Product Designer’s prices were read on their own pages on 21 October 2026. The price is not the whole difference: Kickflip’s plan pays for a hosted product builder with unlimited products and variants, conditional logic, dynamic prices and colours, multi-component products and bundles, bulk orders, inventory, PDF print files at real size, and support by chat, email or video call, and the plugins above are built for a different job. Fancy Product Designer’s CodeCanyon edition is also in maintenance-only status. How the plugins differ is on the alternatives page.

When is Kickflip worth its price?

When you sell products made from parts and options rather than artwork a customer draws: sporting goods, furniture, jewellery, shoes or apparel configured from options shown in a live preview, with prices, colours and rules that change as customers choose, bulk orders and quotes, and the same customiser on Shopify, Wix or WooCommerce. Then the plan and the fee buy a builder no plugin here has, and the arithmetic above tells you what it costs at your sales.

Where PrintBlob fits

PrintBlob is the other kind of tool: a WooCommerce plugin that runs in your own shop, free on WordPress.org, with PrintBlob Pro sold yearly or once and no fee per sale (see PrintBlob’s pricing). It suits a shop that prints garments itself or with a local printer, where customers place their own text and images on the product. The free plugin lets customers design the front of its bundled t-shirt in every colour you sell, from one photo, and keeps every order’s design; PrintBlob Pro adds your own products on your own photos, the back and the sleeves, a 3D view, your theme’s fonts, design templates, a clipart library of your own art, a print queue, and per printed side a transparent PNG at 300 DPI, a vector PDF and an SVG.

PrintBlob is not the right choice if you need products configured from parts and options, conditional logic, quotes, inventory, print-on-demand fulfilment, or Shopify or Wix: Kickflip’s pages name several of those, and PrintBlob has none of them.

How do I work out what Kickflip would cost my shop?

  1. Take your monthly sales of custom products. Average the last few months of sales of the products you would build in Kickflip, after discounts and before tax, which is what Kickflip's fee is calculated on; other products in the same order do not count.
  2. Apply the fee band by band. Charge 1.95% on the first $100,000 of the month, 1.75% on the next $150,000 and the lower rates above that; below $100,000 a month the fee is simply 1.95% of sales.
  3. Add the plan and the add-ons. Add $59 a month, $49 a month if you remove the Powered by Kickflip link, and $99 a month for quotes; multiply by twelve for a year.
  4. Set the year beside the alternatives. Compare the year's total with another hosted service at the same sales and with a plugin's yearly or one-off price, then weigh what each one does.
